March 2018

Exciting times at Exergen Global. Not only did we announce our presence as Exergen Global China with our partner Multi IR, for the very first time we had our own Exergen Global booth at the Laser World of Photonics China show in Shanghai showing a lot of promise for applications of our IR sensor technology in various laser applications. Below you will find some pictures of this event. It is clear that Exergen’s non-contact, infrared temperature sensors find a fast growing market in China as various vertical markets are replacing their contact sensors with non-contact.

You will find us at more events worldwide where we will exhibit and which we will simply attend:

WATERTOWN, Mass. and ZIJTAART, the Netherlands, March 12, 2018 - Exergen Global, the award-winning thermal sensor solution provider, announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Multi IR, a global leader in infrared technologies based in Hangzhou, China. The move is part of Exergen Global’s ongoing strategy to forge partnerships that will help expand its presence and bring its products and services directly to customers in Asia. Beyond its recent growth in China, Exergen Global plans to expand into Japan, South-Korea, and Taiwan.

Asia offers a significant market opportunity for IR sensors. In fact, a recent Frost & Sullivan report forecasts that by 2020 the region will comprise 20.5 percent of global revenue for the IR temperature sensors segment gradually replacing existing contact temperature sensors. In particular, Exergen Global sees growth opportunities in the markets in which it excels, including high speed printing, paper, pulp, laminating, injection molding, curing, and medical.

Recently we also announced our own Academy where we will give more information about infrared, non-contact sensors. We made a video which explains items like field of view and which sensor to choose. We added the video above for you to watch and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or one of my colleagues.
