No pain, no gain? In my home country we have a saying: "If you want to be beautifull, you will need to suffer" meaning that it requires either great effort, or painful measures if you want to augment your looks. Exergen is proving that this is false; gain without pain! Many aesthetic and cosmetic treatments such as hair removal, body contouring, tattoo removal or vascular treatments, involve heating of certain layers of the skin. The higher the temperatures in these specific layers, the better the effect of the treatment (the gain). But if these areas get too hot the patient can feel discomfort or even get burns (the pain).Real time measurement of the skin temperature is possible with Exergen sensors, so the treatment can be optimized without the risk of burns. Read More...

‍Bob Harris, Industrial Sales / Marketing Manager

In the spotlight Bob Harris, Industrial Sales/Marketing Manager Exergen Corporation. First of all - Happy New Year. A lot of innovations, breakthroughs and of course fun time during this anniversary year.

Question:2014 seems to have been an excellent year for Exergen. Can you elaborate and highlight the milestones of 2014?

Thank you. Happy New Year to you as well. Yes, we've had a very busy and successful 2014, with some milestones in both our medical and industrial divisions. With the medical professional products we've partnered with some major medical companies (GE and Philips) providing TemporalScanner thermometers to their bedside units. On the industrial side, we've made some major strides with our new Industrial OEM Global Division and became strategic partners with some new OEM's in the graphics (M&R Screen Printing) and medical aesthetic (Syneron) industries. The A Team has been challenged with these new applications, and by working closely with the customer's R&D teams, we've come up with solutions to help them become world leaders in their industries, by providing speed, accuracy and safety in their non-contact temperature measurements. Another milestone of 2014 is that our creative radio advertising team's "Hot Head" Super Bowl ad was voted in the top 5 of ads during a promotion that Westwood One created for the most watched and listened to sporting event in the world. Our team beat out big corporations like Geico, Ford, Honda, Macy's, and State Farm Insurance, and was featured with Motel 6, Subway, Taco Bell, and Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, as the top 5. Motel 6's ad won the contest.

Amazing customer quotes:

"We're always looking for ways to increase flash curing speed and quality in the most cost efficient way possible. That meant working with an innovative and industry-leading sensor vendor to find the sensor that met our requirements. Exergen Global was that vendor. A complex problem was tackled by our combined teams and solved in a very neat way: a customized Exergen IRt'c sensor."

Bo Magda, VP of Engineering of M&R

"Magic IR sensor - an additional milestone in HP Indigo's business cooperation with Exergen…………………….: new high end technology for the HP Indigo Digital Printers. We are so very proud."

Bart van Liempd - GM Exergen Global together with Zvi Shemer and Avi Atia - both HP Indigo

We went to Sensor Expo in 2014 and it was a great success. In wooden shoes, we achieved a lot of attention for our IRt/c non contact temperature solutions. Therefore, we continue this path and added the Measurement Fair in Nuernberg in May. We hope to greet you at one of these shows.

About M&R M&R is the world's largest manufacturer of screen printing equipment for the graphic and textile industries, setting the standard for innovation, quality, and service.

Begun in 1985, M&R started out with three employees, doing maintenance and repair for screen printers who were dissatisfied with the service provided by the manufacturers of their screen printing presses and other screen printing equipment. Just one year later, M&R began manufacturing manual screen printing presses. In the late 1980’s, M&R built Challenger, its first automatic screen printing press. Challenger quickly dominated the market. Graphic screen printing presses followed in 1992. Eventually, M&R went on to become the world's largest manufacturer of screen printing machines, a position it holds to this day. M&R remains heavily invested in advanced technology, earning numerous patents and keeping the company in the forefront of innovative design and rapid product development. In their search for the best innovative solutions.....................we met and together worked on an unique infrared non contact temperature sensor with a very specific cone. This resulted in a higher speed and perfect quality Today, M&R produces a wide array of screen printing products and OEM screen printing parts at facilities in Glen Ellyn and Niles, Illinois, USA and in Wojnicz, Poland. M&R has distributors and support operations throughout the world. One of their long time customers is Screen Works. Last week the Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Oregon Ducks for the NCAA football title, meaning big business for Screen Works. After the game was over, they had to immediately print 17,000 national championship t-shirts, which are being sold by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Elder-Beerman and Walmart. “Yeah, as soon as the game was over, we took off and started printing, said Jeff Cottrell , owner of Screen Works. We have been in business for 28 years and have printed t-shirts for every major sporting event including the World Series and the …..Super Bowl. From our sensor to the Super Bowl. Life is GREAT.
